Περίληψη:We present the history of the notion of Morita equivalence of C*-algebras and of non-selfadjoint operator algebras with emphasis οn the equivalence of their categories of operator modules and οn stable isomorphism theorems. We also present recent results of the theory on operator algebras and operator spaces.
