Graduate students and recent Ph.D.’s in Logic are invited to apply for grants to attend LC2005. Applications should be sent, preferably by e-mail, to the official conference address by May 1 ; the application letter should include: name and home institution of the applicant, name of supervisor and short description of research work, estimate of travel expenses. Each applicant should also ask his/her supervisor to send a brief recommendation letter.
Funds administered by the organizers, generously offered by the A.S.L. and other sponsors, will be used to provide a variety of grants, each of which will range from “fee waiver” to “fee waiver + full compensation for travel expenses + offer of free accommodation (at University halls of residence or hotels selected by the organizers)”.
Apart from these funds, N.S.F. funds are available through the A.S.L., to provide modest travel grants to students at U.S.A. universities and citizens and permanent residents of the U.S.A. (air travel paid for using N.S.F. funds must be on a U.S. flag carrier).
At least two months prior to the meeting, final decisions concerning applications will be taken by the Program Committee chair and applicants will be informed about the outcome of their applications.
